Founded in 1954, Florida Food Products, Inc. specialized in the production of orange juice concentrate. Within a few years, the company grew to include industrial freezer storage, citrus pellet/pulp manufacturing for animal feed, and orange oil production for the flavor industry.
In the 1960s/70s, FFP expanded on existing orange juice production technologies and pioneered the process of carbonated beverage canning. By the early 1970s, FFP had seven plant locations on the eastern seaboard and was the largest East Coast carbonated beverage contract filler.
In the early 1980s, Central Florida suffered back-to-back winter freezes destroying the regional supply of oranges. FFP shifted from orange juice production to aloe, vegetable juices, and land development.
In 1984, aloe was first concentrated by FFP as 10X and 40X. Within three years, FFP was supplying concentrates, extracted oils, and freeze-dried powders to industry worldwide.
In 1986, Florida Food Products led the food industry with a breakthough in processing and evaporation of carrot juice into high quality concentrates. Through extensive research and development efforts, FFP pioneered the processing of vegetable juice concentrates, broths and broth blends for a variety of applications and industries.
In the 1990's, expansion of our Eustis, Florida, facility included an updated processing plant, modern drying facility, and a state-of-the-art Research and Development Center.
Since 2000 our portfolio of products has expanded to include Veg Stable® and a new break through for texture, FiberColloids™
