Jim Holdrieth

Jim joined Florida Food Products in November 2016 as President and Chief Executive Officer. He brings over 25 years of sales, operational, and M&A experience from the specialty chemical and food ingredient industries. Prior to joining Florida Food Products, Jim held the position of Vice President and General Manager at Balchem, Inc., leading their food ingredients division. In addition, he spent 10 years with SensoryEffects, Inc. as General Manager of the Specialty Powder division, leading the acquisition and consolidation of several spray drying operations. He started his career with Ashland Chemical Company, Inc., eventually leading their Fine Ingredients division which was divested off to Mitsubishi International Food Ingredients where he served as Vice President of Operations. Jim’s experience includes building and leading diverse specialty ingredient companies through rapid sales and commercial development, operational/process optimization, and development of new innovative technical platforms. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University. Jim resides outside of Orlando with his wife Sharon and their four children, Maxx, Jake, Mara, and Jordan.

James Doherty

James joined Florida Food Products in December 2018 as Chief Financial Officer. He brings over 25 years of experience in senior finance, supply chain and general management roles in the Food Ingredients, CPG and Pharma industries. Prior to joining Florida Food Products, James worked with Kerry Taste & Nutrition in a range of finance and general management roles, most recently heading up the finance function for the Liquid and Dry Beverage Systems, Foodservice and Direct to Retail businesses. Prior to joining Kerry, James worked in Senior Finance roles with a privately owned Irish consumer packaged goods company, Punch Industries and with the US Pharmaceutical multinational, Bristol Myers Squibb. James experience includes identifying and delivering productivity initiatives and acquisition identification and integration. James holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Cork, Ireland and he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. James has lived in the US for 15 years and has relocated to the Orlando area with his wife, Liz and their two children, Michael and Doireann.

Ken Simone

Ken joined Florida Food in October of 2019 as Vice President and General Manager and recently was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. He has over 30 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain and business development in the food, flavor and ingredients industries. Prior to joining Florida Food Products Ken was Vice President Operations and Business Development for Senomyx, Inc. in San Diego. He also served as the Vice President of Operations for Heartland Food Products Group in Indianapolis, IN. Ken has held senior global roles in operations and M&A integration for Firmenich, in the USA and Switzerland, where he led the supply chain function through the Danisco flavor division acquisition. Ken has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken NJ and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford, NJ. Ken and his wife Linda reside in Longwood Florida and they have three adult sons Nicholas, Kevin and Dennis.

Christopher Naese

Christopher joined Florida Food Products in October 2017 as Vice President, Business Development. Christopher has over 30 years of experience in the flavor, functional, and nutritional ingredient industries. Prior to joining Florida Food Products, Christopher was Global Key Account Director at DuPont Nutrition & Health, managing the global business with a major food and beverage client. He began his career in Toronto, Canada, as an Account Manager with the flavor house Firmenich, and then moved over to then Unilever-owned Quest International where he held a variety of roles including key account, marketing and industry and country management.  At Florida Food Products his role is to identify new business opportunities through new technologies, colloborations and potential acquisitions.  He also manages the company’s marketing efforts.  Chris holds a Dairy Science degree from the University of Guelph, the Kellogg Management Institute certification from Northwestern University, and is a Certified Food Scientist (CFS). Christopher is married to Yvonne, a finance professional, and their daughter Chloe is currently in a masters degree program at the University of British Columbia.

Pavan Soma, Ph.D.

Pavan joined Florida Food Products in 2012 as Director of Research. Dr. Pavan Soma handles identification, extraction and development of natural actives and process development for the company, and is a specialist in fermentation, product development, process optimization, and scientific support of sales staff. Dr. Soma oversees lab technicians and third-party research laboratories associated with the company, and is proficient in analytical analysis and hydrocolloid chemistry. Dr. Soma holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in Food Science and a Bachelor of Science in Food Engineering and Technology at the University of Mumbai, India.

Chris Carroll

Chris joined Florida Food Products in February 2017 as Director of Supply Chain. He brings over 17 years of experience in supply chain, strategic planning, and operations. Prior to this role, Chris held the position of Director of Strategic Planning at Valuation Litigation Services, Inc., leading their sustainable process deployment. In addition, Chris led the Sales and Operations Planning process for CHEP North America. Previously, he spent eight years in supply chain leadership positions across two different business units within HD Supply. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Transportation and Logistics from The Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration from Amberton University. Chris resides west of Orlando with his wife Amy and their three children, Daniel, Jeremiah, and Rachel.

Mike Becher

Mike joined Florida Food in November of 2018 as Vice President of Operations. He brings over 22 years of experience in manufacturing and operations in the food industry. Prior to joining Florida Food, Mike was the Director of Maintenance for Symbotic, overseeing the development and installation of maintenance programs and systems for new customers in the warehouse automation industry. Mike started his career with The Iams Pet Food company, working as a Project Manager at the Dayton, Ohio plant before moving to Columbia, Missouri, where he was the Technical Services Manager for the Quaker Oats Rice Cake facility, leading both the Engineering and Maintenance departments. Mike spent the next 15 years working for Frito-Lay where he held a variety of roles in operations and maintenance, while working at three different plants with his most recent role as Site Director at the Killingly, CT facility. He holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Missouri-Rolla. Mike resides in Sorrento, Florida with his wife Mary. He has five grown children, Adam, Emily, Elaina, Simon, and Nathan.

Aaron Edwards

Aaron joined Florida Food Products in 2021 as Vice President & General Manager, Performance Ingredients where he has P&L and all commercial responsibility for the Performance Ingredients business.  This includes leading go-to-market functions, innovation, business development, and strategy development & execution.

Prior to FFP, Aaron led large specialty ingredient businesses for 25 years, working for Ingredion Inc.  He has lived in US, Japan, UK, and Thailand while holding various business development, innovation, business leadership, M&A integration, and general management roles.  Aaron earned an M.S. in Food Chemistry from Cornell University and a B.S. in Food Science from the University of Tennessee.  He is now located in Florida with his family.

Tony joined Florida Food Products in November of 2020 as Vice President & General Manager FFP – Taste to lead the Commercial Operations at our John’s Creek, GA location.   Currently reporting to Tony is Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Innovation and R&D.   He brings almost 30 years of experience in the Specialty Chemical, Specialty Gas, Flavor, and Ingredients industries.   Prior to joining Florida Foods, Tony was Commercial Director for Sensient Technologies North American Sweet and Beverage business.  Tony started his career with Air Products & Chemicals, Inc. as an Inside Sale Representative before moving to Chicago as an Account Manager in their Specialty Chemicals Division.  He spent the next 20 years in a variety of roles in Sales, Business Development and Business Management.  Tony then went to Eastman Chemicals and then Sensient Technologies where he managed several high performing sales teams.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from Lehigh University.  Tony currently resides in Georgia with his wife Kim.
